We are currently at a critical juncture and must address significant issues, including political corruption, the pardoning of criminals, international conflict, systemic bigotry and climate change. It is vital that we do not remain indifferent to these challenges.

Many pressing concerns are now clearly visible, from false claims regarding the 2020 election to the inconsistent enforcement of immigration laws. While public safety is paramount and those who break the law should face appropriate legal consequences, enforcement must be applied equitably. We must question why certain temporary status holders, such as Haitians and Syrians, are targeted while others are not held to the same standard.

Justice must be pursued diligently. The strength of our nation lies in its diversity, which serves to enrich and unify our society.

With the upcoming midterm elections in November, I urge you to support candidates who prioritize justice, freedom and democratic principles over authoritarianism.
