The World Health Organization (WHO) is organizing a global webinar to launch the newly released policy brief on harnessing synergies between tuberculosis (TB) and primary health care (PHC) to advance efforts to achieve universal health coverage.

The webinar will highlight how aligning the TB response with a PHC approach could deliver equitable, accessible, and people-centred TB services—while addressing the underlying social and economic determinants of health. Conversely, the event will also outline how this alignment can help strengthen overall health system resilience, foster deeper engagement with communities and civil society, and enhance the delivery of essential services across all levels of care.

The session will provide an overview of the new policy brief, showcase country and regional experiences, and provide practical insights on how harnessing synergies between TB and PHC can be effectively implemented and scaled across diverse health system contexts.

Key speakers include WHO leadership and representatives from ministries of health, communities and civil society, and key technical and funding partners.

The event is open to all stakeholders working to end TB and to strengthen PHC-oriented health systems, including government agencies, national and subnational health authorities, civil society organizations, affected communities, and staff from WHO and funding and implementing partners.
