The heat was turned up Monday night for a Colorado Lottery Powerball player in Cañon City, according to a notice from the Colorado Lottery.
A $1 million Powerball ticket was sold at Smoker Friendly at 1709 Fremont Drive.
The player matched 5 of 6 numbers. The winning ticket numbers were 2, 9, 44, 53, 59, and the Powerball was 8.
Wednesday’s Jackpot is now $567 million, and tonight’s Mega Millions Jackpot is $707 million — a cool $1,274,000 billion combined. Today also marks the first day players in the U.K. will be able to play Powerball alongside everyone in the U.S.
These rolling combined jackpots provide a nice bump in revenue for the Lottery, helping fund its proceeds partners that support Colorado’s outdoors.
The Colorado Lottery encourages players to keep play fun when they play the Lottery, playing for entertainment, with a bonus of a chance to win big like this player.
