I am deeply concerned about the thick smoke from Canadian fires last week that adversely affected many Americans’ health. Canada has the responsibility to properly manage its forests. And this is not the first time in recent years that smoke from Canadian wildfires has choked American cities. The U.S. government should explore ways to impose penalties on Canada for polluting the air.
