FARGO — The Fargo Park District is raising its 2027 golf fees by 4% and has created two season pass categories, one for residents and another for nonresidents with different price points, for next season.
Residents will receive a 10% pre-tax discount on season passes, however with the overall increase, a season pass for all five courses will cost $30 more than in 2026.
The price hike for a single adult Fargo resident pass will be $1,090 in 2027, compared to $1,060 this year. For nonresidents, it will be $1,210. The increases reflect 27.5% and 41.5% jumps over 2023 passes, respectively.
Fargo Park District golf director Rocky Papachek told The Forum the resident/nonresident packages have been discussed in recent years.
“It really just recognizes the financial support residents provide the Park District through their property taxes,” Papachek said.
For daily green fees, the Park District will also remove a Monday-Thursday discounted rate for 2027, as all days are considered prime golf days, Papachek wrote in his proposal for the July 14 Park Board meeting.
With the additional 4% pre-tax increase, Rose Creek and Edgewood’s daily green fees will be $46.75, up from this year’s $45. In 2023, green fees for those courses were $37.75.
The Park District also combined the junior restricted and junior unrestricted into a single junior pass for 2027.
Senior rates will be $37.50 in 2027 for those 62 and older, from this season’s $36.
Golfers can also see slight increases in cart rentals and range ball fees. A medium bucket, for example, will go up 50 cents to $10.50.

According to Park District data, the number of rounds played at Fargo public courses continues to increase.
The nine-hole Osgood course had the most rounds played last season among Fargo’s five courses with 38,578. It led to a record 163,076 total rounds across the five courses.
“This year we’re tracking 1,300 rounds ahead of last year’s record,” Papachek said.
In 2019, 99,396 rounds were played in total.

This upcoming fall at Osgood, Papachek said the Park District’s most-utilized driving range will be leveled and sodded with with new turf this fall. The driving range net is scheduled to be replaced this fall at Edgewood. At Rose Creek, a strip of artificial turf will be added to the driving range.
In Moorhead, the 2027 rates will be part of the Park Advisory Board meeting in August, city recreation director Sean Brandenburg said.
From 2022 to 2026, standard adult green fees in for the 18-hole public courses in Fargo and Moorhead have seen similar increases, with Fargo’s up 24% and Moorhead up 25%.
Standard weekday green fees for Village Green and Meadows are $40 for adults, a 5.3% increase of $2 since last season.
An unrestricted season pass for both Moorhead courses rose 5.9% over that same span from $850 in 2025 to $900 this season.
In all, an adult season pass for both courses in Moorhead has risen 16.1% since 2022. In Fargo, a 5-for-1 season pass rose 32.5%. Golfers this year paid $900 in Moorhead, up from $775 in 2022. In Fargo, the 2022 pass was $800 and had risen to $1,060 this season.
