Maybank and Samsung have announced the introduction of Samsung Wallet QR Payment for Samsung Galaxy users beginning 21 July 2026, eligible Samsung Galaxy users will be able to access Maybank’s MAE Scan & Pay functionality, natively within the wallet through its latest update
“At Samsung, our vision for Samsung Wallet has always been to go beyond a digital wallet and become an intelligent everyday companion that simplifies life for our users,” said Charles Kim, President of Samsung Malaysia Electronics.
Through Samsung Wallet, users can launch QR Payment with a quick swipe, access Maybank’s Scan & Pay via the MAE App to complete QR transactions securely not just locally in Malaysia, but also regionally across Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia. The native integration eliminates unnecessary steps, delivering a faster payment experience whether purchasing meals, groceries, coffee or other
everyday essentials.
The Samsung Wallet QR Payment rollout will commence from 21 July 2026 and will be available on eligible Samsung Galaxy smartphones through the latest Samsung Wallet and software update.
