KATY, Texas – What started as an ordinary pickup soccer game turned into an unforgettable night for players in Katy when Spurs star Victor Wembanyama unexpectedly joined them on the field.
Videos shared on social media show the 7-foot-4 NBA standout playing at the Katy International Sports Complex while wearing a Paris Saint-Germain jersey. The San Antonio Spurs later shared one of the clips on X, captioning it: “the soccer side quests continue for @wemby.”
Wembanyama spent roughly two hours playing with the group, scoring multiple goals, setting up teammates with assists, and taking photos with fans after the games ended.
