RIDGEDALE, Mo. (KY3) -A bear and three cubs were spotted in Taney County Saturday morning.
Footage captured the bears walking across a street off Oakview Drive in Ridgedale at around 7:30 a.m.
Randy MacDowall was on his way to work when he saw the bears and started filming. He said he’s been living in the Ridgedale area since 2013 and has never seen a wild bear in person, let alone four.
MacDowall mentioned a friend of his possibly saw the bears in the area earlier this week but was not able to film them at the time.
Although it was an exciting moment, MacDowall said he wants everyone to keep their distance if they see wild bears and leave them alone.
