AC Milan should soon be able to announce Sankhoun Diawara as their newest summer signing, with the deal now fully agreed.
Diawara had not even been linked to Milan until a few days ago, when a few different sources bega reporting that there was an attempt being made to hijack his move to Rangers. It was a successful mission, as Fabrizio Romano gave the ‘here we go’ on Thursday night.

It was initially claimed that the 20-year-old would be playing for Milan Futuro. However, that was always unlikely for a France U19 international that was a starter for a side that got promoted to Ligue 1 last season.
So, it seems as though the most likely role for Diawara is as Strahinja Pavlovic’s deputy in the first team under Ruben Amorim. First, though, everything must be made official between the two clubs.
According to Di Marzio, Milan and Troyes are expected to exchange documents shortly for Diawara. The clubs have reached an agreement worth €3m plus a future resale percentage in favour of Troyes.
The player could arrive as early as tomorrow to begin his medical and complete the remaining formal steps, depending on how quickly the last details are finalised.
