NEW YORK MILLS, N.Y. — The 13th annual Believe 271 Robert LeBuis Memorial Golf Tournament was held at Twin Ponds Golf and Country Club in New York Mills on Sunday afternoon.
More than 100 golfers enjoyed lunch before heading out for a day of golf to raise money for the Believe 271 Foundation.
The foundation provides financial and emotional assistance to local volunteer firefighters and ladies auxiliary members facing cancer, as well as their families.
“With the funds we raise from this and our other events, we’re able to assist firefighters with any unforeseen expenses they might incur,” Believe 271 Foundation President Fred Sherman said.
Since 2015, the Believe 271 Foundation has provided more than $525,000 in assistance to firefighters and ladies auxiliaries throughout Herkimer and Oneida counties.
