It comes after Monday’s EF-3 tornado caused both Menasha and Fox Crossing’s water treatment plants to lose power. The power loss creating a water boil order, meaning any water from taps must be boiled before drinking, being used in cooking, or being used to brush teeth.
“Glad that we’re able to do the best we can to help the community out,” said Piggly Wiggly District Manager Ryan Evers. “That’s what we’re here for. Because we’re here to support them as they’ve supported us throughout the years.”

Evers says as long as bottled water is available, the store will distribute it to help those in need.
Bottled water is also being collected at the former UW-Oshkosh Fox Cities campus. Water and other donations are asked to be dropped off at the campus entrance next to the Barlow Planetarium.
