Race Communications, which is backed by Oak Hill Capital, has agreed to acquire Atherton Fiber, an Atherton, California-based internet service provider. No financial terms were disclosed.
Race is a fiber-to-the-home provider in California.
“We are excited to continue the legacy of Atherton Fiber and are fully committed to growing and improving the fiber infrastructure in Atherton and surrounding areas with future-proof speeds and affordable plans,” said Race Communications founder and CEO Raul Alcaraz in a statement. “As a California-based internet service provider, this acquisition offers Race an opportunity to expand our footprint and support additional communities in the Bay Area.”
