NEENAH (WLUK) — Neenah has closed five parks after an EF-3 tornado passed through the Fox Valley.

These closures are necessary to protect public safety while crews remove fallen trees and debris, assess damage, and restore park facilities.

The following parks/locations are currently closed until further notice:

Riverside ParkKimberly Point ParkDoty ParkLakeshore AvenueFresh Air Park

The following parks/locations have sustained a range of damage, and the public is asked to use caution before entering:

Quarry ParkGreat Northern ParkBill Miller Trail/ParkSouthview ParkDouglas Park

Cleanup and park repairs will start in the following order: Riverside Park, Kimberly Point Park, then Doty Park.

Residents are asked to obey all closure signs and barricades. Entering closed parks may place individuals at risk due to unstable trees, hanging limbs, damaged playground equipment, compromised trails, and other storm-related hazards.

Cleanup is expected to take several months, with work continuing into the winter.
