NEW RIVER VALLEY, Va. – Officials are warning of rising water levels after several inches of rain were reported in Carroll County Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
Pulaski County Emergency Management warned residents along Big Reed Island Creek on Rock Creek Road about possible rising water levels, as the heavy rainfall has resulted in levels past the banks and within feet of roads and campsites.
PCEM said the water and debris is now working its way downstream to the New River.
Officials plan to continue monitoring water levels.
