MISSOULA, Mont. — Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is accepting applications for a new advisory panel that will help shape mountain lion management in southwest Montana.
The Southwest Lion Ecoregional Population Objective Panel will review biological data and public input before providing recommendations on mountain lion population objectives to FWP for consideration by the Fish and Wildlife Commission. The 12-member panel is expected to represent a range of interests, including hunters, livestock producers and wildlife advocates. Applicants must be available to attend in-person meetings Oct. 19-20 and Jan. 5-6.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Aug. 21.
