(WJAR) — The Stone E Lea golf course in Attleboro will close after 72 years.
The golf course announced on its website that it will continue until the end of the golf season.
The Lapierre family released a statement saying this was the most difficult decision they ever faced.
Recent health struggles contributed to the decision, the family said.
They thanked everyone who made the golf course a part of their routine.
“Somewhere along the way, you stopped feeling like customers. You became our friends. You became part of our extended family,” the family wrote.
The golf course said anyone with a gift card or club credit should use it before January 1, 2027.
