Emergency crews rescued a person who fell on Peavine Island in the Susquehanna River on Sunday.

The rescue started around 6:05 p.m. on Peavine Island.

A person fell about 50 feet in the area, according to dispatch.

Emergency crews rescued the victim and cleared the scene around 7:40 p.m.

The extent of their injuries is unknown.
