As summer starts to wind down, shark sightings have ramped up over the last week or so.
Earlier this week, a lifeguard in Scarborough reported a close encounter with a white shark, and Wells Beach was closed Wednesday because of a shark sighting.
Now, another shark has been caught on camera in Machiasport.
Alex Finlay posted video from Gray Beach after a friend who was clamming along the beach spotted the shark, pulled out his phone and started recording.
The video shows the shark swimming alongside their boat and coming within just a few feet of shore.
Officials are reminding everyone to be aware of their surroundings and keep an eye out for posted warnings about shark sightings near beaches.
