The WRAL Breaking News Tracker was at the scene of multiple crashes in Wake County overnight.
The most recent crash occurred before 4 a.m. on Sunday on South Smithfield Road near Walton Road in Knightdale. The road reopened by 7 a.m., and video showed a black vehicle upside down on a tow truck.
WRAL News is working to learn more about what led to the crash and if anyone was injured.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is also investigating a crash that blocked part of Interstate 87 near Knightdale overnight.
The crash happened in the northbound lanes of I-87 around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday between the Wendell Falls Parkway and South Smithfield Road exits.
