Knesset Member Zvi Sukkot of the Religious Zionism party was filmed taking part in breaking a monument in the Palestinian village of Madama near Nablus. Sukkot and those accompanying him were guarded by the IDF and Border Police. Sukkot said: “A few days ago, I demanded that the army act to remove the monuments commemorating terrorists in the murderous villages of Madama and Burqin, but unfortunately they remained in place. Therefore, I came myself and acted to remove them. We cannot allow a situation where those who harmed Jews and IDF soldiers are commemorated as heroes and presented to the next generation as figures to be admired.”
