The past eight months in Scottie Scheffler‘s career have been curious to say the least. Scheffler hasn’t quite hit the heights of the past few years, but nevertheless he’s still won twice on the PGA Tour and leads the Official Money rankings by a very long way.
The runaway World No.1 also leads several other statistical categories on the PGA Tour such as Strokes Gained: Total, Scoring Average (adjusted/actual) and Greens In Regulation percentage.
All that is to say he remains the best male golfer on the planet and is being richly compensated for being so.
Scheffler banked more than $50 million in 2025, all told, thanks in part to a couple more Major victories and four further PGA Tour triumphs.
And his earnings enjoyed another boost following his competitive debut in 2026. At The American Express in California, Scheffler surged to success and picked up $1.656 million.
Top-five finishes at the WM Phoenix Open and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am thereafter added just over $1.3 million in total as well before a check for $415,000 at the Genesis Invitational helped the four-time Major champion reach nearly $3.4 million in four starts through February.
A pretty underwhelming March saw the father of two fail to break the top-20 at Bay Hill or TPC Sawgrass, but Scheffler responded in kind courtesy of three runner-up finishes in succession at The Masters, the RBC Heritage and the Cadillac Championship.
That run of near-misses earned him $6.75 million, however, with Scheffler’s total pay for the year exceeding $10 million.
Scheffler’s next five events featured three top-fives without a win and a worst finish of T14th at the PGA Championship, with a handful of six-figure checks boosting his coffers.
The 30-year-old’s biggest payday during that time ($2.16 million) arrived at the Travelers Championship after a Monday playoff defeat to Viktor Hovland.
Following a rare and surprising missed cut at the Genesis Scottish Open, Scheffler bounced back admirably with a solid defence of his Open Championship title at Royal Birkdale. His T4th finish led to a payout of $827,500.
Having returned to the United States ahead of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, Scheffler warmed back up with a fifth runner-up finish of the season at the 3M Open before a second win at the FedEx St Jude Championship.
Between The Open and first event in the FedEx Cup Playoffs, Scheffler secured just under $5.4 million.
And with a check for $426,500 in his back pocket at the BMW Championship, Scheffler’s Official Money tally dipped over the $20 million mark – some $6.5 million clear of Cameron Young in second place.

If that wasn’t enough, Scheffler then banked a cool $23 million for topping the FedEx Cup points list ahead of the Tour Championship. He had already scooped a $10 million bonus for sitting in first place ahead of the Playoffs, too.
All told, Scheffler has earned more than $53 million in prize money during 2026 so far. Plenty of that will end up being taxed, but the World No.1 will also receive a great deal of further income from sponsorships and endorsements, so his eventual actual earnings total could vary significantly.
