HARRISBURG, Pa. – Pennsylvania’s Attorney General is warning people about a phishing scam targeting MyChart patients.
MyChart is an online patient portal used by many health care providers, including LVHN, Tower Health, and St. Luke’s.
Attorney general Dave Sunday says scammers are impersonating the portal and sending emails or texts, giving patients a chance to claim a reward, but no program or rewards.
Health officials say if you get an unexpected message promising a MyChart reward, don’t click the link. Just delete the message, and contact your health care provider directly.
