On August 22, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) deployed its new Federal Electronic Health Record, or Federal EHR, to medical centers in Indiana, following successful deployments in Michigan (April 11) and southern Ohio (June 6).
The VA is committed to deploying a single Federal EHR across the enterprise by 2031. This EHR transformation, and our accompanying modernization of the technologies that connect to it, will support delivery of Veteran health care into the future. The Federal EHR is integrated across all VA and Department of Defense components, enabling seamless data exchange while enhancing care, safety, and customer service for patients.
