Without a doubt, August was a busy month for Angel Reese. The player appeared in 10 games with the Atlanta Dream, eight of which ended in victories, a run that ultimately secured the team a spot in the Playoffs.
Individually, she averaged 17 points, 14.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. Her consistency also earned her consecutive Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors.

And while those numbers would already be enough to stand out, Angel took things to another level.
Three records that changed her August
On August 22, Angel recorded 31 points and 14 rebounds against the Phoenix Mercury, setting a new season-high in scoring. Just two days later came the performance that made history.
Against the Los Angeles Sparks, she grabbed 26 rebounds, the most ever recorded by a player in a single game in WNBA history. That same night, she also broke the record for most rebounds in a single season.
Her final major milestone came on August 30, when she posted 15 points and 11 rebounds against the Minnesota Lynx to record her 29th double-double of the year.

But if anything has become clear, it is that Angel has also turned her social media into a space where she shares some of her biggest moments, and this summer closeout was no exception. September already has her next destination
Now, as a new month begins, the calendar enters a different stage. The WNBA will take a break for the international FIBA tournament, meaning Angel will not return to action with Atlanta until September 17.
