AEON Bank customers can now use Google Pay with the bank’s Visa Debit Card-i.

Customers can add the card to Google Wallet on compatible Android devices and use it for contactless payments in stores and online wherever Google Pay is accepted.

IDEMIA Secure Transactions supported the Google Pay rollout, marking its first digital card deployment in Malaysia.



The bank is also offering 3% cashback on eligible Google Pay purchases from 28 August to 30 September 2026.

Cashback is capped at RM30 per customer and will be credited after the transaction is settled.

Customers must link their AEON Bank Visa Debit Card-i to Google Wallet and pay through Google Pay during the campaign period. Terms and conditions apply.

AEON Bank launched in May 2024 as Malaysia’s first digital Islamic bank.

Its app offers savings accounts, personal financing, term deposits, bill payments, DuitNow QR, takaful and zakat services.

The bank has also introduced Neko Sensei, an AI-powered personal finance coach, and Neko Missions, a digital banking rewards programme.

Eligible deposits with AEON Bank and AEON Bank Biz are protected by Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia for up to RM250,000 per depositor, subject to eligibility requirements.
