Rain chances will go down as we head into the end of the week with just the chance for isolated to locally scattered showers or thunderstorms. The weather will continue to be warm and humid. This weekend, look for a pop up shower or storm otherwise a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the low 90s.
Tropical Storm Erin is thousands of miles away but expected to become a major hurricane by the weekend. Erin is still a way out, so plenty of time to watch. As of now, it does not appear to be a Gulf threat, and models are favoring a turn where the storm will stay out in the Atlantic and away from land.
There is a low to moderate risk for rip currents through the end of the week.
