Towanda, Pa. — A Towanda man has been charged after allegedly breaking another man’s nose in Asylum Township.
On July 23, Trooper Jason Goss was dispatched to Liberty Corners Road in Towanda for a report of a fight involving 51-year-old Robert Joseph Douglas. Goss spoke to the victim at the scene.
Douglas allegedly approached the victim, yelled, “Why do you keep lying to me?” then put the victim in a headlock with his right arm and punched him multiple times in the face.
Goss reported seeing injuries on the victim’s face, including cuts, a bloodied lip, redness, and swelling.
The victim later provided police a summary of the results of a hospital visit, which included a broken nose.
Douglas was charged on Aug. 26 with simple assault and harassment. His preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 22.
