SALISBURY TWP., Pa. – He’s been performing in the Pennsylvania suburbs for more than two decades, and he’s helping us get the holiday started on this Labor Day Music Monday.
We’re so excited to welcome Michael Kropp to the studio.
Music is now a full-time gig. On Monday, he talked about how he got his start. He said music has been an important part of his life since he was a kid, noting his dad played in a band. He said he took piano lessons and played the drums.
He taught himself how to play guitar.
Fast forward to the late 1990’s: he said he was able to form a couple bands. Kropp said things snowballed from there. In the late 2000’s, he got the opportunity to play music as a full-time gig.
He said his “wheelhouse” is playing pop rock from the 1960’s, 70’s, and 80’s.
He said he plays concerts for senior groups.
Kropp also goes to preschools, libraries, daycares, and other family events. He’s part of a group called Makin’ Music Rockin’ Rhythms out of Delaware County.
