Things are getting heated in the hockey world right now, especially on social media.

Evander Kane has publicly fired back at accusations made by his former teammate Kurtis Gabriel.

And his tone was anything but conciliatory.

As a reminder, Gabriel painted an unflattering picture of his former San Jose Sharks teammate during an interview on a San Jose podcast.

Rather than let it go, Kane chose to respond directly on social media.

“I can’t wait for the day I decide to share ‘my truths.’ The only difference? Mine will come with facts, receipts, and the actual truth.

For now, I’ll simply say this: a lot of people have become far too comfortable speaking publicly while relying on my silence. Enjoy it while it lasts.

There are plenty of bombs with plenty of names attached. When the time is right, everything will speak for itself.

That is all.”

Evander Kane fires back and promises more revelations

The message quickly generated hundreds of thousands of views, sparking a wave of reactions ranging from curiosity to skepticism.

Gabriel had said that he contacted Kane before the interview aired, offering him the chance to discuss the matter, either publicly or privately.

Kane remains an unrestricted free agent without a contract heading into the 2026-27 season, a situation that adds another layer to this public confrontation.

There’s no way to know at this point whether the revelations Kane is promising will actually come out, or what form they might take.

It’ll be something to watch.

Here’s one of Kurtis Gabriel’s comments that drew plenty of attention:

“I’ve never seen a player that good and a team say: we don’t want him here in the locker room.”

That’s what started all of this.
