iHeartMedia has named Ben Marcotte Program Director of “Rock 105.3 FM” KIOZ and heritage rock station KGB-FM (101.5), effective immediately.
Marcotte will oversee programming as well as social and digital strategy for both San Diego stations. He reports to Gene Romano, Executive Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia.
“Ben’s broad background in rock makes him a perfect fit,” Romano said. “He’s always curious and creative on how to keep up with listener’s always evolving tastes.”
Marcotte brings more than 14 years of experience with iHeartMedia to the new role. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Programming for Indianapolis and St. Louis. His previous programming stops include classic rock “Q95” and “Indy 103.3” WOLT in Indianapolis – where he also served as PD and afternoon host – along with “96.5 Jack-FM” KJAQ and “Alt 102.9” KKRZ-HD2 in Seattle.
