JAMESTOWN — i3G Media has come to an agreement with Chesterman Communications on the purchase of their Jamestown radio stations.
Pursuant to this agreement, on Friday, Sept. 11, i3G Media officially submitted an FCC application to acquire Jamestown radio stations KSJB (600 AM), KSJZ (“Mix 93.3” FM), and translator K261FC.
Adding KSJB, with its massive regional signal reach and the “Hot AC” Mix 93.3 alongside i3G Media’s existing Jamestown stations opens new creative avenues, cross-promotional power, expanded advertiser reach, and the opportunity to keep the stations local, i3G Media said in a news release. Bringing KSJB and KSJZ under the i3G umbrella ensures these legacy brands remain locally owned, locally operated, and focused on i3G Media’s advertisers and listeners.
“We are extremely excited to welcome the KSJB/KSJZ crew to our team,” said Lynn Lambrecht, general manager of i3G Media Jamestown. “This move will be a benefit to both our listeners and clients.”
“I3G is another long-time local broadcaster in this area, and I was pleased to pass the radio stations to them vs. a larger, corporate entity,” said Patrick Pfeiffer, vice president and general manager of KSJB and KSJZ. “I’m confident they will do a great job. KSJB celebrates its 90th Anniversary on March 14, 2027. KSJB got along before I arrived on April 1, 1998, and I take comfort knowing it will continue long after I’m gone.”
