Sonia Citron trolled Paige Bueckers for her Team USA victory bratwurst in Germany
Paige Bueckers packed 19 slides of gold-medal memories into her World Cup photo dump, and Team USA teammate Sonia Citron swiped all the way through to the 20th and final shot to make the funniest joke of the entire post.
Bueckers celebrated Team USA’s FIBA Women’s World Cup title with a long Instagram carousel that moved from podium shots and game action to selfies with teammates.
The Dallas Wings All-Star showed off her medal, championship hat, a jumper against Hungary, warm-up smiles, and embraces with teammates Kahleah Copper and Napheesa Collier while celebrating winning Gold.
Meanwhile, NBA commissioner Adam Silver said the WNBA is interviewing search firms to replace Cathy Engelbert.
The carousel also included a selfie with Angel Reese, a handshake with Chelsea Gray, a sideline conversation with Breanna Stewart, and a “twin” photo with Caitlin Clark that the Indiana Fever superstar reposted on Instagram, which killed theories of a rivalry.
The final slide showed Bueckers during a team stop in Germany while holding up a bratwurst and wearing an oversized charcoal-gray sweatshirt and a backward black mesh cap.
Bueckers tagged the moment as a “happy place,” but Citron ignored the trophy talk completely and went straight for Bueckers’ lunch as an undiscovered spot in Germany.

“Too much glizz not enough bun smh,” the Washington Mystics guard wrote under the post. Of all things, the WNBA sharpshooter roasted the sausage-to-bread ratio as other W stars chimed in with reactions.
Clark responded with fire emojis, four-time Grand Slam tennis doubles champion Taylor Townsend showed love, and other verified accounts celebrated the championship.
The USA guards gained a new level of camaraderie after Bueckers and Citron were part of a Team USA squad that went 6-0 in Berlin and helped secure a fifth consecutive world title.

Bueckers averaged 7.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and one steal during the tournament while providing energy off the bench. Team USA coach Kara Lawson was adamant in her strategy of relying on veterans to carry the USA home.
Citron saw fewer minutes but still had her moments, including a 10-point performance against Czechia while shooting 5-of-7 from the floor. The WNBA star ranks in the top 25 of true shooting percentage at 61.7 percent.
Dallas and Washington currently occupy the final two playoff spots with roughly five games remaining in the WNBA season, both sharing an identical 24-16 record with the No. 6 seed New York Liberty.
Current standings would see the Wings match up against the No. 1 Minnesota Lynx, and Citron’s Mystics take on the No. 2 Golden State Valkyries.
