SAN ANTONIO – Plans for a major K-pop festival at the Alamodome have been put on hold.
KPOPWORLD.com announced it is postponing the KPOPWORLD Festival USA, which had been scheduled for Oct. 30-31, 2026, at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Organizers said the festival is now being pushed back to 2027.
In its announcement, KPOPWORLD.com said the decision came “after extensive discussions with our immigration, production, and event teams,” citing uncertainty about obtaining U.S. visas in time for some international artists and groups, “despite using expedited and all means of services.”
Organizers said there is uncertainty in meeting processing deadlines, which they said is outside the control of the artists, their agencies and the festival team. They said postponing was the “most responsible decision” to avoid a significantly reduced lineup due to visa delays and restrictions and to provide enough time to deliver the planned experience.
“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this change may cause you,” the announcement said.
KPOPWORLD.com said that after a new on-sale date is announced, ticket holders from the first planned festival will receive “an exclusive pre-sale code before the general public on sale” for the rescheduled event.
Ticketmaster is refunding all customers who already purchased tickets, according to the announcement. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method for the original ticket buyer within 14 business days.
