We will return to your regularly scheduled programming of LA Kings training camp shortly, but sharing some important information as it pertains to Kings broadcast availability this season.

As was announced over the summer, locally televised Kings games will air on ABTV this season. It’s the same as it’s always been in many ways. Same number on your television as FanDuel Sports Network, as Bally Sports Network, as Fox Sports West, as……you get the picture. The network has new ownership and a new name. The look and feel might change a bit from seasons past. But, ultimately, it should feel pretty similar and should be accessed the same way it always has. Channel numbers shown below within the Los Angeles market.

What is new is how you would stream LA Kings games, should you opt to watch that way. Kings games this season will be streamed via DAZN, as opposed to what was last season the FanDuel Sports Network App. I use DAZN personally and I actually really like the app. It’s a bit overwhelming when you first open it, because there is so much content, but the quality of the streams I watched last season was excellent. Expecting that to be a good user experience for Kings fans.

For those with a cable subscription who are not home, but want to watch the Kings on the go, you can log in via the DAZN platform to access Kings games, as you normally would. For those looking to buy just the streaming rights, there are two packages available at $19.99 and $24.99 per month. Both include all locally televised Kings games. The lower price is your standard package. Includes every locally televised game as well as full-game replays. With that plan, you can stream on two devices at one location, if you want to have both phone and television going, something to that effect. The upgraded package includes a couple of interesting features, including two free tickets to a Kings game. Also included is the ability to stream on five devices, across two separate locations. Think about that one and infer what you will………

There is also a full-season option of $129.99 for all locally televised Kings games during the 2026-27 season for the standard plan or $149.99 for the ultimate plan.

This is for fans in the local market only. Coming from the NHL, if you are unsure about whether or not you are in the open market, you can CHECK HERE. For those who are out of market, ESPN+ is your best bet for watching out of market games, but I believe that NHL Center Ice is also still an option.

The Kings’ national broadcast schedule is available HERE, with 12 games to be broadcast via national outlets this season. That includes the season opener against Colorado on September 30 and the home opener against Florida on October 6. Of note, the game against the Panthers has been moved from a 7:30 PM start time to a 7 PM start time, per the NHL. A decision made by the league and ESPN, though I think it aligns with where the Kings would prefer to start weeknight games going forward. More on that HERE.

The local broadcast scheduled has yet to be released by ABTV. Also still to come is a breakdown of the television talent this season. Jim Fox will scale back his schedule even further this season, doing mostly home games along with select road games. The bulk of the road schedule will be called by other analysts this season. Hearing that Tony Granato, who did games with the Kings last season, is expected to be included, along with other color analysts. There are a lot of nuances that need to be released with regards to that announcement, also including potential over-the-air games, as we’ve seen in seasons past. Overall, that’s a separate announcement and I haven’t see it just yet.

What we do have today is the preseason broadcast schedule, which begins on Saturday, September 19. The Kings have four preseason games this fall, all of which are more or less home games. The Kings will open their exhibition schedule on Saturday against the Vegas Golden Knights at Toyota Arena in Ontario. The Kings will host Utah on Tuesday, September, 22 at Crypto.com Arena and will visit Anaheim on Wednesday, September 23 at Honda Center. The preseason schedule concludes on Saturday, September 26 as the Kings and Ducks rematch in Los Angeles.

Look for Josh Schaefer and Daryl Evans to be on the call for the first three games, both on streaming and on radio. The fourth game will feature two separate Kings broadcasts, including John Kelly and Jim Fox on ABTV, with the Schaefer/Evans combination on radio.
