BEND, Ore. — The Cascade Astronomy & Rocketry Academy is inviting the public to take a closer look at the night sky Saturday during a free telescope viewing at the Old Mill District.
The free event runs from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at Central Plaza near the bridge as part of NASA’s International Observe the Moon Night, with information on the moon and upcoming Cascade Astronomy Festival.
Robert Grossfeld, director of the Cascade Astronomy & Rocketry Academy, said several telescopes will be available for visitors to view the moon and other celestial objects throughout the evening.
