Alexis Hall is back with the conclusion to the hit London Calling series.

Meet Father Material — the third and final book featuring lovers Luc O’Donnell and Oliver Blackwood, and their ever-evolving romance against the backdrop of Merry Old London. Set to debut in 2026, Father Material picks up as the two men contemplate the next stage in their relationship: parenthood

PEOPLE can exclusively reveal the cover of Hall’s highly-anticipated series finale, illustrated by Elizabeth Turner Stokes. Hall tells PEOPLE it’s been a “genuine privilege” to know Luc and Oliver so long, and to see their story through multiple books.

“I never expected Boyfriend Material to get a sequel because that’s very rarely something genre romance even does,” Hall says. “So I certainly never expected to be able to write a whole trilogy of books about a developing relationship, two-thirds of which is about the bit that comes after the happy-ever-after.”

Fans first met opposites Luc and Oliver — a tangentially famous son of rockstars and a “nice and normal” barrister, respectively — in Boyfriend Material, released in 2020. The pair strike up a fake relationship for the cameras, despite having nothing at all in common.

“But the thing about fake-dating is that it can feel a lot like real-dating,” the book’s synopsis reads. “And that’s when you get used to someone. Start falling for them. Don’t ever want to let them go.”

Two years after the events of the first book, Luc and Oliver are in love and happy against all odds. But they’ve reached that awkward stage in life where everyone they know seems to be getting married — so naturally the question of their own future comes to mind.

In Husband Material, Luc is under some heavy societal pressure to pop the question — but he and husband-material Oliver have some growing to do first.

“It’ll take more than four weddings, a funeral, and a hotly contested rainbow balloon arch to get this semi-disgraced son of former rock stars and his tightly-buttoned-up boyfriend from ‘I don’t know what I’m doing’ to ‘I do,'” Husband Material‘s synopsis reads.
