THIS IS HAPPENING ON THE EASTBOUND LANES OF 30 AND YOU CAN SEE IT IS REALLY SLOW GOING THERE. IN THAT STRETCH OF 30 PEOPLE TRYING TO GET OFF TO AVOID THIS BACKUP. YOU SEE NOW STRETCHING INTO WRIGHTSVILLE, YORK COUNTY, ALL ACROSS THE BRIDGE BECAUSE OF THIS ACCIDENT. ALSO, IF YOU LOOK IN WHERE COLUMBIA IS RIGHT NOW, YOU SEE THAT ORANGE BOX PEOPLE ARE EVEN TRYING TO GET AROUND THROUGH COLUMBIA TO AVOID THIS MESS. AND FOR 62 ALSO HAS BACKUPS. A crash involving a large truck happened in the 6300 block of Chambersburg Road/Route 30 in Franklin Township around 10:45 a.m. on Friday. The truck can be seen overturned off the roadway. The Franklin Fire Company said the crash is deadly, but the number of fatalities is unknown at this time. Route 30 closed
Due to the wreck, Chambersburg Road/Route 30 is closed in both directions between Buchanan Valley Road and Pine Grove Road/Rocky Mountain Road.
Officials said the closure is expected to remain in place for several hours.
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
