Jack Wood has been sidelined due to injury
Jack Wood was involved in a crash last weekend at Watkins Glen International. That crash has sidelined him from the truck the following week.
He suffered a tire failure in the high-speed turn three. The truck slammed the outside wall. He bounced off the wall and went across the track, making a second impact with the inside wall.
He suffered an injury in the crash.
Just ahead of this weekend’s race, McAnally-Hilgemann Racing announced that 25-year-old Jack Wood, will not compete in tonight’s race at Richmond Raceway. The announcement was made on Thursday.
Wood has been racing full-time for the team in 2025. He collected a best-finish of 7th at Rockingham Speedway.

On Thursday, the team issued the following update:
“Jack Wood will not compete in Friday’s race at Richmond Racewat for precautionary measures due to an injury he sustained at Watkins Glen International,” the team opened in a statement.
“The No. 91 entry has been withdrawn from the event.”
The team concluded, “An update on Wood’s status will be announced at a later date.”
