Chart Data reported the aforementioned climb after Swift revealed details about “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore.” The update immediately caught fans’ attention, and many celebrated the song’s return to the top of the chart. The renewed chart movement also showed how quickly Swift’s announcements can drive listeners back to her music.

Swift shared the news with fans in a social media post. She recalled the reaction to “The Life of a Showgirl” about a year ago and thanked fans for helping the album achieve what she described as “the biggest first week for an album in history.” The pop legend later traveled to Sweden with her two collaborators, Max and Shellback, to celebrate the achievement.

Instead of simply reflecting on the album’s success, the trio ended up making more music. “We really just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in,” Swift wrote. “But there was a studio there, and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: we wrote more songs.”

Swift revealed that “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore” will feature four new songs. The expanded release is set to arrive on Friday, giving fans another collection of music from the Showgirl era. “I hope you love them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance and celebration of the album we made,” she wrote.
