We’re thrilled to officially welcome an incredible group of student-athletes to the Kansas City Roos family! Each of these young men brings unique talents, passion, and dedication to the court, and we couldn’t be more excited about the journey ahead. From dominant forwards and agile guards to versatile wings. This roster is bursting with potential, energy, and commitment to excellence. As we gear up for an exciting season, join us in celebrating these future stars who embody the spirit of the Roos—on and off the court!Â
Stay tuned as we spotlight each of these exceptional players and the skills they bring to our men’s basketball team. The future is bright and we can’t wait to see their impact on the hardwood.Â
Kernan Bundy: Kern is one of our many Division One transfers via the portal. The first of many local players to be on our Roos roster. Kernan comes to us from Iona in New York, and as he heads back home to Kansas City it has become evident in these early practices that he will be a huge contributor, giving our team a local’s perspective, locker room, overall experience, and basketball talent!Â
Jason Hilliard: Jason hails from my home state of California, so it was nice to pluck him away from all the schools on the West Coast. Jason’s athleticism stands out at first and then the more you watch him. You realize he’s a very versatile player for his size. A long athlete who will cause mismatch issues for our competitors as well as being a great kid and a joy to be around.Â
CJ Evans: CJ is what I would call a pure point guard. He has the ability to get downhill, get into the paint and make decisions. He also provides exceptional court vision as verified by his leading the nation in assists this past yearÂ
Jamaria Clark: Also known as “Juice”, comes to Kansas City from not too far down the road, playing his junior college ball at NEO. Juice is a prototypical point guard as well with length and a knack for scoring in many ways. He was one of the better guards we saw on the recruiting trail this past season.Â
D’Andre Harrison: D’Andre is the lone freshman on this team loaded with experience and talent. He joins us from one of the most successful high school programs in the nation over the last four years at Perry High School in Phoenix, Arizona. D’Andre won the State Tournament each of the last four years, a first in Phoenix high school basketball history!Â
Karmello Branch: We’ve added another talented combo guard to the program in Karmello! Karmello was one of the better scorers in junior college during the 24/25 season and we are very fortunate to add him to the program.Â
Trey Booker-Lowery: Trey most recently played his college basketball at Lemore Community College in California. He put up impressive numbers and brings a load of length and athleticism to the program. Trey will make us hard to guard from several positions and will give us added defensive matchup capabilitiesÂ
Addarin Scott: Addarin, also known as “AD” will provide us much needed experience in the post position. He is a talented player who has the ability to step out on the perimeter on both offensive defense and dominate younger competition in the interior.Â
Max Sims: Max comes to us as a proven long-distance threat! As Max continues to develop his skills, his added contributions will be seen immediately, especially on the offensive end!Â
Chris Dockery: Dockery is by far one of the most talented players we have gotten a commitment from in the last few years. He has great instincts and experience for the development of the game.Â
Cory Curtis Jr.: Corey Curtis Jr. is another versatile guard who comes to us via Independence Community College where current head coach Jai Steadman sang Cory’s praises as the ultimate team guy and leader by example. A proven scorer with D1 experience will definitely add strength to the roster.Â
Jerome Palm: Jerome comes to us as a graduate student athlete from the University of Hawaii. Another player who brings in Division One experience at multiple schools. Jerome is a true five man who also has the ability to step out and shoot the mid-range shot. He is a good athlete with a phenomenal locker room demeanor and team concept.Â
Babacar Mbengue: Another D1 Transfer, Babacar most recently played at UTEP in the Conference USA. Limited playing time did not deter our staff from doing a deeper dive into Babacar’s potential. He looks to be in these early stages as a player with great upside and overall positive culture.Â
