The Hornets announced Friday that Rookie of the Year runner-up Kon Knueppel has a left hamstring injury and will miss the entire preseason before being reevaluated during the first week of the regular season.
Knueppel might end up missing multiple regular season contests, writes Scott Fowler of The Charlotte Observer, since players typically require a ramp-up period after being reevaluated, assuming that examination goes well.
On a more positive note, Fowler hears from a source that Knueppel isn’t expected to miss a significant portion of his second season due to the injury.
