Mark Fox is sticking around in Lexington, and he’s getting a nice raise to do it.

Per the contract, Fox will continue working under head coach Mark Pope, performing duties connected to the supervision and administration of the men’s basketball program. If Fox departs before the contract’s end date, he will owe UK $50,000 in liquidated damages.

His postseason incentives remain unchanged, including $20,000 for an NCAA Sweet 16 berth, $30,000 for an Elite Eight, $50,000 for a Final Four, and $100,000 for a national championship. SEC regular-season and tournament titles would add $30,000 and $20,000, respectively.

Fox’s resume includes head coaching stints at Nevada, Georgia, and California, where he won 324 games, four regular-season conference titles, and five NCAA Tournament appearances. He spent last season as Georgetown’s Director of Student-Athlete Relations and NIL Partnerships.

With Fox returning for another season, it’s worth noting that Pope credits him for giving him his first coaching job back in 2009, and now, the two will be reunited on Kentucky’s bench for at least one more year.
