Tee Higgins suffers adductor injury while making catch during Bengals-Jaguars game

Kurt KnueCINCINNATI —

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor says that Tee Higgins suffered an adductor injury during Cincinnati’s loss on Sunday to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

This comes as Higgins was removed from the fourth quarter of the game after he appeared to suffer a rough landing during a jumping catch that was made on a 19-yard pass from Joe Burrow with just under six minutes remaining on the clock.

Higgins was briefly removed from the game, but later reentered to finish out the drive. Afterwards, he remained off the field as the Bengals attempted a last-minute comeback on a final drive that occurred past the two-minute warning.

Ultimately, the Bengals would go on to lose 22-17 to the Jaguars.

It remains unclear how severe Higgins’ injury is or if he may be sidelined in future weeks as a result of the injury.

Prior to being removed from the game, Higgins had 11 catches for 157 yards, the second-highest receiving yard total of his career.

Fellow star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase was also removed earlier in the game after being diagnosed with a concussion.

Higgins was previously sidelined for two games last fall after undergoing numerous concussion scares throughout the 2025 season.

This is a breaking news story and will be updated.
