Aerosmith Will Return to the Stage with Help from The Black Crowes, RUN DMC, Heart, Eric Church, Don Was, Marcus King, Tom Morello and More
Aerosmith will return to the stage for the first time in over three years later this month. On October 29 and November 1, the long-running hard-rock act will host California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends, an all-star performance at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl. In addition to performances by Aerosmith themselves each night, the celebration will feature appearances by friends and fans like The Black Crowes, RUN DMC, Heart, Andrew Watt, Billy Idol, Chad Smith (RHCP), Duff McKagan (GN’R), Eric Church, Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains), Marcus King, Mike Inez (Alice In Chains), Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme), Pat Monahan (Train), Sammy Hagar, Slash (GN’R), Steve Stevens, Sully Erna (Godsmack), Tom Morello, Adam Wakeman, Audley Freed, and Kenny Aronoff.
Don Was will serve as the shows’ musical director. Daily lineups and additional guests will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
In 2023, Steven Tyler fractured his larynx during an Aerosmith performance at Elmont, NY’s UBS Arena, forcing the band to postpone their planned farewell tour to 2024 and, eventually, scrap it all together. Drummer Joey Kramer was also sitting out the tour to focus on his family in the post-COVID era.
Tyler has since undergone surgery and has made a few on-stage appearances since early 2025, most recently at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium for the Jam for Janie Grammy viewing part in February. The upcoming gigs will be his first full-set shows since his injury.
