MORGANTON, N.C. (WBTV) – WBTV drone footage captured widespread flooding in Burke County on Sunday afternoon after Hurricane Isaias.
The video, recorded Sunday, Oct. 11, shows several roads and public access points in Morganton underwater after the storm swept through Saturday night.

As of Sunday night, Antioch Road, Spainhour Road at Bost Road, Bethel Park, the Greenlee Ford access point, and the John’s River Boat Ramp were closed.
Residents said they were shocked by how high the water had risen.
“I remember it being flooded, but not up this far,” said Cara Holley, who has family in the area. “I’m grateful. That’s the main thing: nobody was hurt.”
