Innovation thrives when ideas can move freely. As Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized in his October 7 speech in Athens, America is reaching for new technological frontiers, including Super Intelligence (SI). This week, the U.S. Embassy hosted Shane Tews in Georgia, bringing the American technology policy expert together with young people and professionals across sectors to explore these opportunities. Discussions examined how emerging technologies can support education and entrepreneurship while protecting privacy, strengthening cybersecurity, and preserving access to information and freedom of expression.

Tews, president of Logan Circle Strategies and a nonresident senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, shared expertise drawn from her work across government, business, and civil society. As the United States commemorates its 250th anniversary, the program highlighted America’s tradition of innovation, entrepreneurship, and technological leadership. Through discussions on responsible use of Super Intelligence and digital freedom, it connected Georgian audiences with American expertise on secure, open digital environments.
