Speed of play on Korn Ferry Tour: Dylan Menante ends season as fastest among 143 players

Dylan Menante isn’t walking to the PGA Tour; he’s running.

Menante, one of 20 graduates from the Korn Ferry Tour who will play on the PGA Tour in 2027, finished this season with the title of KFT’s fastest player.

Menante led the KFT in overall speed of play, besting the tour average by more than 13 seconds. He also ranked first in every subcategory, including off the tee where he was more than 16 seconds quicker than average.

The KFT began publishing speed-of-play data in May, publicly displaying the time each player takes in each of the four facets of the game – off the tee, approach, around the green and on the green. Timing starts once the previous shot is hit by an opponent and ends with the player hitting his subsequent shot.

Excluded from the data set are shots hit first among the group, shots taken after rules situations such as relief or provisionals, and each player’s slowest 10% of all shots.

“The publishing of the AST data on the Korn Ferry Tour is an opportunity to provide greater context around a player’s pace of play and the various factors that may impact it during any given tournament,” said Korn Ferry Tour president Alex Baldwin earlier this year.

“We are hopeful this data is not only additive for our players, but allows our fans to feel more connected to what occurs inside the ropes each and every week,” Baldwin added. “As we continue to innovate and implement new concepts on the Korn Ferry Tour, this data and the feedback will be most valuable.”

Nick Infanti, Jack Maguire, Zac Blair and Kevin Dougherty rounded out the top five fastest players, while Augusto Nunez and Ian Gilligan were the only two among 143 eligible players who were more than seven seconds slower than average. Gilligan earned his PGA Tour card this season as well.
