Oh, you’re definitely gonna get it.

We’re talking about En Vogue, of course, the Oakland vocal act that is set to perform the Halftime Show during Game 5 of the WNBA Finals between the Golden State Valkyries and the Atlanta Dream on Monday at Chase Center in San Francisco.

And R&B-loving hoops fans should be absolutely thrilled with this choice, given that En Vogue is one of the finest pop/soul acts to ever rise out of the Bay Area.

En Vogue has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, thanks to such radio-friendly numbers as “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It),” “Giving Him Something He Can Feel,” “Free Your Mind” and the Salt-N-Pepa collaboration “Whatta Man.” Any (or all) of those tunes would surely go over quite well with fans during halftime.

En Vogue just performed a big sold-out show at the Toyota Pavilion in Concord earlier this month and sounded great. Indeed, En Vogue arguably turned in the finest performance on the all-star bill, which was co-headlined by fellow platinum-plus-selling acts TLC and Salt-N-Pepa.

The group’s current lineup consists of three original members — Terry Ellis, Cindy Herron and, as of last year, Maxine Jones.

Also, the Valkyries have named Dinah Jane, of the band Fifth Harmony, as the national anthem singer for the game.
