Misiorowski became just the second pitcher in Brewers history to start Game 1 of a World Series, joining Mike Caldwell in 1982.

“It’s just another game,” Misiorowski said Thursday. “It’s honestly an honor to be in that situation and be able to go out and try and propel the team to a win.”

Misiorowski threw 78 pitches over five innings in Game 1 of the World Series. He gave up one run on three hits, struck out three and did not surrender a walk in the opening game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

A sold-out Milwaukee crowd created a festive atmosphere at American Family Field for the Brewers’ first World Series game in 44 years.
