KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Portage Central’s Olivia Griswold capped off her record breaking season with a dominating performance in last weekend’s MHSAA Division-1 state championships.
The senior fired a 5-under 67 in October 17th’s opening round at Bedford Valley in Battle Creek.
Griswold followed that sizzling opening round with a 2-over 74 the following day, on her way to a runaway 7-stroke win.
The All-State star told News Channel 3 that she was very happy with how well she handled the wet and windy conditions in Saturday’s opening round.
It has been a breakout season for Griswold, who shot a program, conference, and course record 63 earlier this season at Cedar Creek.
Griswold will continue her golf career next fall at Western Michigan University.
